Class of 2008 News Update

RHYS FERNANDEZ graduated with his Masters in Aerospace Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology. He is still living in Florida but will be moving to Savanah, Georgia to work for Gulfstream Aerospace. He has accepted a position as an aircraft system development engineer for their research and development center.

VIVEK NONGRUM is back in Australia and working for Bombardier Transportation. His current project involves manufacturing the E-class trams for Melbourne in Australia.

JABEZ PEREZ UDAYKUMAR has completed his Professional Diploma in Game Art and recently accepted a position with Dhruva Interactive in Bangalore.

RANGA G is working as a Private Equity Associate at State Street Bank in Boston.

SARAH SHEKHAR is living in Santa Barbara, California where she works for a speaker company called Sonos as a Software Developer.

AMRUTHA PULIKOTTIL will graduate from Ball State University with a Master’s in Public Administration in May. She recently got engaged to Randall Wheeler.

DEEPIKA RANJIT - After completeing her medicine and clinical internship last year, Deepika took the rest of the year off. She is now preparing for her exams to get into a speciality.

ANKITA PATRICK - This year marks Ankita's second anniversary with Total Environment, a real estate company, where she works as Assistant Manager of HR in Bangalore.

NATALYA RATAN - To kick off 2015 Natalya got engaged to Benjamin Eachus. She lives in San Francisco and works with Vendini in the live event space. This May, Natalya will graduate with her Masters in Sports Management from the University of San Francisco.

LASHYNNA DUNCAN - After completeing her M.A in English and Comparative Literature Lashy moved back to Shillong and taught at a college here for some time. She then resigned to pursue her PhD at North Eastern Hill University and continues to teach Drama and Performance.

MALLIMALIKA GUPTA graduated from Bryn Mawr College with a major in Economics and minors in political science and creative writing. She lives in New York (with old Wissy dorm mate, Naina Chhiber, '09) and works as a consultant at PwC in the health industries practice.

MANU MOORCHING sends his greetings from the beautiful Andamans! He will be living there till May to complete his dive master course.

IRENE ALFRED lives in Hannover, Germany where she will complete her Masters in Biomedical Engineering this year. Hannover is a mere half hour away from Hildesheim, where she did her 10th grade German exchange semester abroad. Irene even gets to see her old host parents every now and then!

DEEP PAUL is the director of an export firm that manufacture and exports leather goods. They work with handbags, wallets and purses to name a few. They just entered into a joint venture with a European brand and will be launching the brand in India soon.
 
YOSEOK JUNG is living in Korea currently, helping his dad with his business (Man-Machine-Interface) for 3 months. He plans to head to Vancouver this summer to finish his studies at UBC as Comp Sci/Biology Major. For the future YoSeok will either return to Korea to take over his dad's business or pursue a future in Canada.

PRIOSKA UKE moved back to Bombay and a PR executive with Buzz, the .entertainment and lifestyle company of Perfect Relations. She works with the media on behalf of seven channels of Viacom 18 and two channels of Star India and loves her work! Next month, Prioska is off to Germany, Russia and Nowary on a summer trip.

ANUJ IYER is a special educator and curriculum designer at the Gateway School of Mumbai, a revolutionary project trying to experiment with and spread best practices in the field of special ed. and rehabilitative therapies in India. He was recently accepted to the Harvard Graduate School of Education for a Master’s in Education (M.Ed) program, and will start this fall. Following this degree, he is looking at spearheading his own initiative aimed at bridging the educational gap in India.

MAYBAR TSERING has a beautiful daughter who is almost 11 months now and dedicates her time to caring for her. Her daughter and husband are her whole world and Maybar could't be happier.

RIDHI GHELANI was accepted to business school and will be pursuing her MBA at IESE in Barcelona. She is excited to embark upon a new chapter in her life!

NISHANTH PRASADARAO is teaching music production at an academy.

SHAFQUAT AZAD completed his Masters in Finance at the University of Nottingham. He then returned to Bangladesh where he worked as a high school economics teacher for a year. He is currently the Assistant Managing Director for a big apparels business specializing in knit wear. If you need garments from Bangladesh, Shafquat is the guy to talk to!

EMMANUEL CHRISTOPHER has completed his MSc in Geology and is working for a consultancy in Mysore.

SANGEETA MARETVADAKETHOPE received her MBBS degree in February 2014. She currently lives in Switzerland.

TRISHA SATRA lives in Bombay and is working with an advertising agency called TBWA. She is part of their Account Management Team.

THINLEY DORJI lives in Bhutan, he just completed working as a guide and will be joining his father's business.

NIKITA HEMANI lives in Dallas, TX and is working at Ericsson as a Management Consultant while she completes her MBA from University of Austin. She will be graduating this May!

HUGO HG is a Superyacht insurance broker for Willis, and lives in London.
 
LENA KRAUSE works in London, assisting foreign language teachers in German and French at a high school in Camden. This summer she will return to Freiburg, Germany, to finish her degree and start working as a teacher for German and English in grammar schools in Germany.

NITHIN KARI is in London and will soon be graduating from Central Saint Martins, where he studies Graphic Design. 

SEBASTIAN AUSTENSON works in Management Consulting at Atos IT Solutions and Services in Hanover, Germany.

MINHAZ KHAN works at a hedge fund in Dhaka and is a CFA candidate.

JOHN RINGER lives in London. Following his graduation from LSE, he worked for a Member of Parliament, and then for a member of the House of Lords. John currently works at a public relations firm called Chelgate, where he works on crisis and acute issues management, as well as public affairs. In his spare time, John has been enjoying travelling, visiting six countries in the last twelve months, and is heading off to Ireland to campaign in the UK general election.

JAMYANG PHUNTSHO lives in Thimphu, Bhutan, where he works as an Assistant Research Officer at the Royal Monetary Authority of Bhutan (the central bank of Bhutan). April 1st marks his two year work anniversary.

MIKHAIL MEHRA runs a video production company based out of LA called Motion Eccentricá and functions largely as a director/producer and editor. He has made music videos, documentaries and other content for artists such as Diplo, Major Lazer, Skrillex, Skream, Talib Kweli and Joey Bada$$. Most recently he produced and associate directed a music video for Major Lazer which was shot in India for a track called Lean On with DJ Snake. He also co-founded a live music company based out of Bombay called Oji. Oji mainly organizes music concerts in India and have done shows with Skream & Benga, Flux Pavilion, My Nu Leng and Major Lazer most recently. Mikhail misses Fays and want a Fays burger with special sauce!

RAJ GHELANI works in his family business as an equity research analyst and is applying for his MBA.

SNEHA SAIGAL has been accepted to IESE in Barcelona to pursue her MBA. She will be starting this Fall.

MICHELLE ABRAHAM - Upon completing her Bachelor’s degree is Vegas, Michelle moved to Los Angeles in 2013 to obtain her Masters in Organizational Leadership. She graduated in August and is currently working in Marketing and Sales, whilst dabbling in the arts.
