IN MEMORY OF DR. PAUL LOVE

It is with a sense of great loss that we received the sad news of Dr. Paul Love passing away last Friday. If ever there was a thorough gentleman, it was Dr. Love, and his gentle ways and impeccable manners shorn before him wherever he went. His kindness touched the hearts of many at KIS who were, indeed, privileged to know him. Dr. Love has been associated with KIS for over twenty years and has served as a Board Member on KIS Council for several years.

We were also fortunate to have associated with Dr. Love each year during the creative writing workshops held in KIS, in collaboration with SCILET the literary organization he lovingly headed. We fondly remember how each year he eagerly participated in every workshop session, gracing the event with his charm and wit. It is no exaggeration to say that he came to us each year like the warm seasonal breezes, and with his passing, summer will have left us early this year!

The KIS Council Chairman, Dr. Anil Henry writes; “He was a very special person and on the board and a great support for the school.  He will be remembered.”
Another Council Member, Abraham Zachariah writes; “Dr. Paul Love’s contribution to KIS was special. I had the honor of knowing him and sharing thoughts on various topics with him. Let’s thank our good Lord for his life and contribution.”

Mr. Peter Strange, the HOD of English Language Dept. at KIS remarks “I shall sorely miss his voice over the telephone as he meticulously checked each detail in preparation for the workshop and the publication of Kavithalaya, the annual creative writing journal. We will always remember his endearing presence at every annual event. I personally will treasure the memory of his smile, the softness of his voice and the blessing of his presence. Looking back, I feel, I would like to borrow Shakespeare's words from Hamlet to wish Dr. Love a tearful farewell: Good night, sweet prince, And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.”

Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Love family. He would be truly missed.
