Remembering former English Teacher, Gwen Rampal, who lost her battle with Breast Cancer last weekend. Gwen, will always be fondly remembered for her elegance and poise, and the interest she kindled in her students during her English classes. Mrs Rampal is survived by her son Arjun ('90) and daughter Komal ('92). May her soul rest in peace.
Lewis R Scudder, Lew, (Class of 1958) passed away early on All Saints’ Day, November 1, 2017, on the island of Cyprus, where he lived with his wife Nancy for nearly 20 years.
Lew and Nancy served as missionaries in Lebanon, Kuwait, Bahrain, Turkey, and Cyprus from 1966 until their retirement in 2008. He served in various capacities in the Middle East, including Director of the Communication Office for the Middle East Council of Churches, and mission consultant and educator for the RCA.
Former staff member Rita Mehta passed away from a sudden heart attack, early morning on May 19, 2018.
She was passionate about her subject and dedicated towards her students. She loved travelling too. She combined both her loves- French and travel-- by instituting exchange programmes. She taught at French various schools from 1969 to 2009. She retired when she was diagnosed with Parkinson’s.
She is survived by her daughters Jeannie ‘96 and Feroza ‘95.
